The Church of NathanYr. of our Nathan, MMXXVI

No. 1 · Printed for the faithful

The Church
of Nathan.

An assembly of the faithful. A doctrine spoken aloud. A reckoning held in the Trials.

Of the Central Rite —

I.

The Trials of Nathan.

A live game show, a public examination, a means by which the faithful are sorted.

The Trials are the central interactive rite of the Church. The one who presides reads aloud; the assembled answer by code. Trivia, polls, speed rounds, best-answer battles — each round scored, each contestant ranked.

There is no waiting list. The next assembly begins when one of you opens it.

  • i.

    How one contests.

The presider opens an assembly and reads the join code. Contestants enter the code, choose a name, and answer each round as it is read.

  • ii.

    The shape of a round.

Trivia, polls, speed answers, sequences, best-answer battles. Each round carries its own weight in points and its own timer.

  • iii.

    Upcoming assemblies.

Announced in the Discord. Anyone who presides may call one at any hour.

Of the Assembly —

II.

Community.

The Church gathers first in the chapel — that is to say, the Discord. There the Trials are announced, the doctrine debated, the faithful made known to one another.

Entry is open. Membership is by attendance. Standing is by participation.

How to join

  1. Enter the Discord chapel.
  2. Read the rite — the doctrine, the hierarchy.
  3. Attend the next Trials when one is called.
